Bumsoo lives in Cupertino, California with his beautiful wife and 4 children. His passion for Brightstorm stems from his experience as a parent of teenage students and his quest to find a better way for them to learn. Prior to Brightstorm, Bumsoo served as Principal at KTB Ventures, a Palo Alto based venture capital firm where he focused on investments in Internet media, wireless communications and consumer electronics. Before KTB Ventures, Bumsoo was responsible for international investments at KTB Investment & Securities and managed business development in the IT business division of Samsung Corporation.
Bumsoo holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Yonsei University, Korea. In his spare time, he enjoys playing instruments (piano, cello and guitar), watching movies, enjoying sports (more watching than doing) and playing "Baduk", an Ancient Asian board game.
Danielle is the product guru at Brightstorm where her main passion is identifying products and videos that help Brightstorm users learn more effectively. She has a decade of experience in various educational settings as a teacher, curriculum designer and researcher. Her love of education web resources can be traced back to her time teaching in rural North Carolina as a Teach for America corps member where she frequently relied on web resources in her quest to survive life as a first year teacher.
She holds a Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University and a Masters of Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In her spare time, she can be found on the tennis court, zipping around SF on her scooter and on the water.
