To find the critical values you need to know the basic sine and cosine functions. Any multiplication of the entire function does not change the crit values, any multiplication inside the function increases the width between each critical value by that amount. Adding to the entire function shifts the critical values closer together. Adding inside the function shifts the critical values right or left
