Let's break the left side piece by piece. (9x)^-2 = 1/(9x)^2 1/(9x)^2 = 1/81x^2 1/(81x^2) does NOT = -81x. The statement is NOT correct.

I tried to manipulate this many different ways, none produced equality...even with imaginary numbers.
