so tht every1 can be judged in a general waytests and exams are not only about one's score, its also a way how the world sees them in comparison to others.so, in order for things to be fair, its timed.

Because if it isnt timed, you will have all the time in the world to solve the test and everyone will get full marks but you wont get the results back because there is no end of the test meaning you wont have to do anything meaning there is no point of the test meaning it is not a test.

that means you have like infinite days to finish the test

The test have to be timed because you can not spend 30 minutes doing a question. And if you are at the super market and you add up how much money you need to pay and you take so long, the cashier might call ''NEXT!''.When you take a test, and you come to a question you do not understand, skip it,and go back to that question when you are finished with the whole test so you would not waste your time on only one little question before your teacher collects the test..

the point of  a test is to determine your aptitude or skill. SAT helps determine what you gained out of hs and you have to apply your skills in certain time. if i was given infinte time i could analyze every question and get a 2400 EASILY. one reason why all people do not get a 2400 is time management.
