how do you know which logs to join together?if you have three separate logs, can you just join the first two or can you do the last two?do it matter? will you get the same answer?

Camille - I will assume you mean adding logs with the same base.  If you are adding three separate logs you can condense them into one by using the law of adding logs.  For example, (log a) + (log b) + (log c) = log (a)(b)(c).  You can combine them in any order.
